? A survey taken amongst computer owners 55 or older between early 1995 and mid 1998 reveal that the perceived techno-phobia of senior adults is crumbling as more and more of them become PC users. There was an increase during that period of senior home computer ownership from 29% to 40%.

- Used to try the latest adventure games and CD-ROM puzzles. (52%)

- Used to obtain weather information. (43%)
- Used to perform volunteer work for various organizations. (25%)
? The issue for senior citizens is not overcoming technophobia, but finding enough affordable places where they can train, learn to use new applications, and improve their computer skills.
